Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

  • "Grailtick", "we", "us" — the workshop operating at 162 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
  • "Client", "you" — any individual or entity that submits an enquiry, drops off a watch, or commissions a service
  • "Service" — any of the three watch care services offered: Pre-Owned Condition Report, Movement Service & Demagnetise, or Collector's Full Restoration
  • "Watch" — any timepiece submitted to Grailtick for assessment or service
  • "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with any specific service confirmation

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a contact form, dropping off a watch, or instructing us to proceed with any service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions. You must be 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.

3. Service Descriptions

Grailtick offers three services:

  • Pre-Owned Condition Report (฿4,200): A written descriptive assessment of a watch's current state, with photographs. This is an informational document only. No repairs or modifications are carried out as part of this service.
  • Movement Service & Demagnetise (฿7,000): Strip-down, cleaning, lubrication, and demagnetisation of the movement, with rate testing before return. Worn or damaged components identified during this service will be flagged and discussed before replacement.
  • Collector's Full Restoration (฿11,700 base): A staged restoration carried out in consultation with the client. The base price covers movement work and case assessment. Parts sourcing and optional refinishing are discussed and agreed separately before cost is incurred.

4. Scope and Changes

The scope of each service is as described above and as confirmed at drop-off. No additional work will be carried out without the client's prior instruction. If our assessment reveals something beyond the agreed scope, we will contact you to discuss options before proceeding.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due at the point of collection for completed services. For full restorations involving parts sourcing, a deposit may be requested before work begins. Any additional costs arising during a job will be discussed and agreed before being incurred. We do not add charges retrospectively.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

A condition report can be cancelled before work begins with no charge. Once work has commenced on a movement service or restoration, costs incurred up to that point may be charged. Completed services are non-refundable. If work does not meet the agreed scope, we will review the matter and, where appropriate, carry out remedial work at no additional cost.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • You must have the right to submit the watch for service — it must be your property or you must have the owner's permission
  • You must provide accurate contact details so we can reach you during the job
  • You must collect the watch within 30 days of being notified it is ready
  • You must inform us of any known sensitivities (e.g. a dial that must not be removed) before work begins

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Grailtick website — including text, photography, and design — is the property of Grailtick. You may not reproduce or distribute this content without prior written consent. Condition reports and service documents produced for you are for your personal use and reference; they may not be resold or commercially reproduced.

9. Disclaimer

Condition reports are descriptive and informational only. They represent our observations at the time of examination and do not constitute a valuation or a warranty of future performance. Movement services and restorations are carried out with care and technical competence, but the long-term performance of any mechanical watch depends on factors beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Grailtick's liability in connection with any service is limited to the price paid for that service. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for negligence causing physical damage to your watch — in such a case, liability is limited to the assessed market value of the watch at the time it was submitted.

11. Uncollected Items

If a watch is not collected within 60 days of notification that work is complete, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee. After 90 days, we will attempt further contact. If a watch remains uncollected after 180 days, we may treat it as abandoned, subject to applicable Thai law.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes will first be addressed through direct negotiation. If resolution is not reached within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to the appropriate Thai court of jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at grailtick.info/terms-conditions.html. Material changes will be noted in the "Last Updated" field above.
