Why Grailtick

What sets this workshop apart

Written documentation

Every assessment and restoration stage is written up. You have a record you can refer to, share, or keep with the watch.

Independent viewpoint

The condition report is descriptive, not promotional. No repair work is bundled in unless you ask for it separately.

No pressure on timing

Restoration work is carried out in stages, not compressed into an arbitrary turnaround. The pace fits the job, not a calendar slot.

Correct parts sourced

For restoration work, we look for period-correct components. Substitutes are discussed before use, never assumed acceptable.

Clear communication

Questions are welcomed. We explain what was found, what was done, and what to keep an eye on — without technical shorthand.

Centrally located in Bangkok

The workshop is on Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak — walkable from the BTS and easily reached from most parts of Bangkok.

Questions

Things people commonly ask

What happens when I bring a watch in for a condition report? +
We examine the case, dial, crystal, crown, pushers, and movement function. Everything we observe is written down in plain language, with photographs attached. The report is sent to you as a document you can keep. No repair work is carried out without a separate instruction from you.
How long does a movement service take? +
Most movement services are completed within two to three weeks from the point of drop-off. If a part is needed or additional work is identified, we contact you before proceeding. We'll give you a more specific estimate once we've had a look at the watch.
What does the demagnetisation step involve? +
We pass the movement through a controlled demagnetising field using a purpose-built tool. It's a non-invasive step that takes a few minutes. Magnetism is a common cause of erratic timekeeping that owners don't always consider first.
How is the full restoration priced? +
The stated price of ฿11,700 covers the core restoration work. If sourcing specific parts involves additional cost, or if refinishing choices alter the scope, that is discussed and agreed before any work proceeds. There are no surprises added at collection.
Do you work on all brands and movement types? +
We work on a wide range of mechanical watches. Some highly complex movements or very recent proprietary calibres may be outside what we can handle here. If a piece falls outside our scope, we'll tell you clearly and not take it on.
Is a drop-off appointment necessary? +
An appointment is preferred so we can give you proper time to discuss the watch. Walk-ins are possible during quieter periods, but it's worth sending a message first to confirm availability. Our contact details are below.
