Three services. Each described clearly, each priced in advance.
We keep the range narrow so the work stays thorough. Below you'll find a full description of each service, the process involved, and the price.
Back to HomeHow we approach every job
Before any work begins, the watch is examined and its condition at arrival is noted. This happens for every service — not just the condition report. It gives us a baseline and gives you a record of what was there before we touched anything. If the initial look reveals something you hadn't mentioned, we contact you before proceeding.
The work itself is carried out without shortcuts and at a pace that suits the job. We don't run services in batches or on production schedules. Movement servicing involves a full strip, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of worn items, lubrication, reassembly, and rate testing. Each of these is done individually, not collectively.
Pre-Owned Condition Report
An independent written description of a watch's current state for owners and prospective buyers who want an objective account before a decision is made. We document case, dial, movement function, and overall presentation — with photographs — so you can make an informed choice. This is a descriptive service with no repair obligation attached.
What's included
- Written assessment of case condition (scratches, dents, finishing)
- Dial and hands inspection (lume, printing, damage)
- Crown, pushers, and case-back function check
- Movement running observation (wind, set, basic function)
- Photographs of all noted points
- Document delivered digitally
Process steps
- 1 Drop off the watch at the workshop with a brief description of your needs
- 2 Examination carried out within 3–5 working days
- 3 Report compiled with photographs and sent to you digitally
- 4 Collect the watch — or proceed to a service if you choose
Per watch, inclusive of photographs and document
Movement Service & Demagnetise
A full clean and lubrication of the movement combined with a demagnetising step — useful for watches that have begun running fast or erratically without apparent cause. Magnetism from everyday items (bags with magnets, induction hobs, audio equipment) affects more watches than their owners realise. We confirm a steady rate before return and note anything worth monitoring.
What's included
- Full movement strip-down
- Ultrasonic cleaning of components
- Inspection for worn or damaged parts (flagged separately)
- Lubrication with correct specification oils
- Demagnetisation of movement
- Multi-position rate testing before return
- Written handover with rate figures
Process steps
- 1 Drop off and initial assessment — arrival condition noted
- 2 Movement removed, stripped, and cleaned (approx. 1 week)
- 3 Reassembly, lubrication, demagnetisation
- 4 Rate testing over 48 hours minimum
- 5 Collection with written handover document
Typical turnaround 2–3 weeks
Collector's Full Restoration
A comprehensive, preservation-focused restoration for watches of significant personal or monetary value. Carried out in measured stages with documentation throughout. Movement work is included as standard. Case refinishing is available on request only — it is not assumed. Where parts need to be sourced, we look for correct components rather than generic substitutes, and discuss options with you before proceeding.
What's included
- Full movement service (as above)
- Case, bracelet, and crown inspection and assessment
- Parts sourcing with provenance notes where applicable
- Case refinishing if requested (cost discussed separately)
- Stage-by-stage documentation and client updates
- Final written record of all work completed
Process steps
- 1 Initial assessment — arrival condition documented in full
- 2 Restoration plan shared with you — agreement on scope before start
- 3 Movement work carried out (as per movement service)
- 4 Parts sourced as needed — you're consulted before use
- 5 Case work carried out only if requested
- 6 Final checks and documentation — collection arranged
Timing depends on parts availability

Secure handling
Each piece is tracked by reference from drop-off to collection. No watch is left in a general storage area or mixed with others.
Written documentation
All findings, work performed, and measurements are recorded in writing. The document is yours to keep with the watch.
Questions welcomed
You're welcome to ask about the work at any stage. We'll explain in plain language without assuming technical knowledge.
Scope stays as agreed
We don't add work without asking first. If something is identified during the job that would benefit from attention, we contact you before proceeding.
Correct lubricants
Movement work uses oils and greases specified for the components being serviced. Not a single general lubricant applied to everything.
Realistic timelines
We give honest estimates and update you if anything changes. We won't tell you two weeks and return it in two months without communication.
Not sure which service applies? Just describe the watch.
A message with the make, approximate age, and what you've noticed is enough. We'll let you know the right starting point and what to expect.
